Milano by Danube Reports 250% Sales Growth as Dubai-Managed Trade Model Expands

Milano by Danube has reported a 250% increase in international sales as it expands a trading model that keeps customer orders managed through Dubai while shipping products directly from China.

The sanitaryware and building materials brand is now targeting $25 million in international sales within a single quarter. Its international customer base has also grown by 60% since April, according to the company.

The update illustrates a specific role for Dubai in the business: the city remains its commercial hub even when goods travel directly from China to overseas buyers, rather than passing through the UAE first.

What Is Milano by Danube?

Milano is a sanitaryware and building materials brand within Danube Group, whose head office is in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone.

Its products serve bathroom, home-improvement and building requirements. Danube’s official brand information lists sanitaryware, tiles, electrical products, water heaters and water purifiers among Milano’s categories.

The group’s website also identifies Milano Italy SRL as an Italian company with a registered office in Milan. That corporate background should not be confused with the origin of every product: the latest distribution update specifically concerns stock held and dispatched from China.

Milano is separate from Danube Properties’ residential developments. This announcement concerns product sales and international distribution—not apartment purchases or real estate project revenue.

How Dubai Fits Into Milano’s Global Direct Strategy

Under the company’s Global Direct strategy, customers place orders through Dubai and receive shipments directly from China.

Dubai Entrepreneurship & Startup Ecosystem: Key Hubs, Accelerators & Founder Support

Previously, many international buyers sourced Milano products through Dubai before organising onward shipments to their own markets. The direct model removes that additional routing for participating customers while retaining Dubai’s role in managing the international business.

Milano says it has facilitated direct shipments from China for three years. It formally introduced the Global Direct strategy at the April 2026 Canton Fair, with adoption accelerating during the year.

Anis Sajan, Vice Chairman of Danube Group, attributed that momentum to a combination of inventory availability in China and international business management through Dubai.

What Products Can International Customers Order?

The latest company update identifies several product categories available for mixed-container shipments:

  • Water heaters.
  • Faucets and taps.
  • Toilets and other sanitaryware.
  • Showers.
  • Handheld bidet sprays, also known as shattafs.
  • Electrical switches.

Customers can combine different categories in one container rather than arranging a separate shipment for each product type.

For distributors sourcing several bathroom and building products at once, the company presents this flexibility as a practical feature of its direct-shipping model.

What the 250% Sales Increase Actually Measures

Milano says its international sales increased by 250% compared with the corresponding period a year earlier.

That is a company-level international sales figure. It does not measure growth in Dubai’s overall building materials market, UAE retail sales or Danube Group’s total revenue.

The published update does not specify the exact reporting period used for the comparison or disclose the underlying sales totals.

Separately, the company reports a 60% increase in its international customer base since April. Customer growth and sales growth are different measures and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Ready Stock in China Supports Faster Dispatch

Milano says ready stock in China allows it to prepare and dispatch orders within a maximum of 15 days.

Dispatch is not the same as delivery. The claim concerns the time needed to send an order, not a guarantee that it will reach every destination within that period.

According to the company, shipping disruptions and uncertainty affecting routes around the Strait of Hormuz encouraged more distributors to consider direct sourcing. It says the model can avoid additional routing costs associated with moving goods through Dubai before sending them elsewhere.

No quantified cost-saving figure was disclosed in the update.

Canton Fair Helps Milano Reach More Overseas Buyers

Milano says it has participated in both the April and October editions of the Canton Fair for the past five years.

The company reported strong buyer interest during the first phase of the October 2026 event, held from October 15 to 19. It expects further opportunities during the second phase, scheduled for October 23 to 27.

As of October 26, that second phase is still under way. Interest expressed at the fair should therefore not be confused with confirmed orders or completed sales.

The company is also engaging distributors planning purchases ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday period in February 2027, when factory operations and shipping schedules can be interrupted.

Africa, Russia and Central Asia Feature in Expansion Plans

Africa remains a key growth market for Milano, particularly as distributors explore direct sourcing and mixed-container orders.

The company is also pursuing opportunities in Russia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.

Management describes the wider ambition as taking Milano beyond its established Middle East and African markets and building a broader international customer network.

The update does not announce a new factory, office or investment amount for each of those markets. They are identified as areas of commercial opportunity.

What Is Milano by Danube Targeting Next?

Sahil Sajan, Director of Milano by Danube, outlined two forward-looking objectives:

  • A further 250% growth over the next two quarters.
  • $25 million in international sales within a single quarter.

Neither target should be presented as an achievement already recorded.

The company has not disclosed enough financial detail to calculate a confirmed full-year outlook or establish the precise revenue base for the next growth target.

Its immediate priority is to convert buyer enquiries into orders while expanding its distributor relationships.

Dubai Operations Remain Part of the Business

Milano says its established Dubai-based international business remains stable. Global Direct is intended to add another growth channel, not replace those distribution operations.

The strategy combines Dubai’s commercial role with inventory and direct fulfilment in China. Its success will depend on whether new customer relationships and trade-fair interest produce sustained orders.

For Dubai business readers, that is the central development: a Danube brand is expanding international trade managed through the city, while changing the physical route its products take to reach customers.
